Tu Bui is a freelance illustrator/designer/photographer based in San Jose, California. He studied art at the Academy of Art in San Francisco, graduating in 2009 with bachelors in Illustration.

Tu loves anything art, and for most of his life he has explored that love through drawing and painting. Growing up he has copied thousands of drawings from his favorite childhood artists, the likes of which included Toriyama, Jim Lee, Madureira, and Leinil Francis Yu. As he grew older, he was introduced to classical and fine artists such as Sargent, Rembrandt, and other renowned masters, and has since been infatuated with both the historical and contemporary, as well as the eastern and western worlds of art. Today, he finds himself mixing the worlds together, forever learning and expanding on his craft.

He is also a big fan of boxing and kickboxing. He trains muay thai and western boxing at Rey's Muay Thai in San Jose, Ca.
